T+F Kft. has been engaged in international bulk transportation for more than 20 years. At present, 36 vehicles are used for transportation. The tractors are equipped with modern on-board data collection systems, which send data on the status of the tractor (speed, engine speed, axle load, fuel level, GPS coordinates) every 5 seconds.
The BI system combines the above on-board data with financial and logistical data to provide management with the most accurate information on the optimal utilization of tractors, optimizing fuel consumption and providing the basis for a driver incentive scheme.
This data is summarized and graphically displayed on the driver’s dashboard, allowing immediate identification of outliers and their details. The data extracted from the system helps to provide the most competitive bid for new contracts by calculating accurate break-even points. The most important cost factor is fuel consumption, which can be analyzed by combining on-board systems with fuel invoices on a per-trip and per-driver basis, giving drivers with higher fuel consumption the opportunity to train and refine their driving style.
Project duration: 3 months from MS SQL database development to the creation of the management dashboard.
