After the first five years of operation, the mobile operator felt the lack of a reliable, up-to-date and functional management information and analysis system. In 1999, a decision was made to launch a large-scale data warehouse project, which has since become the largest business intelligence project in Central Europe. The tender for the management of the project was won by Bixpert Ltd.
Launched in 2000, the project has passed through the following major milestones
- Data warehouse platform selection – NCR Teradata
- Analysis tool selection – MicroStrategy BI Platform
- Data warehouse model design, focusing on security and reporting functionality
- Data loading
- Customization
- Creating a user-friendly environment and training users
The final business intelligence system supports the execution of both ad hoc and standard reports and analysis to meet the needs of marketing, financial, and technical users.
